I assume we are talking speeds with the 10% speedo error corrected.
Not sure why you would assume that. Have you checked yours to GPS? I've never had a stock bike with stock gearing be that much off, however I did expect 5-7% off, so I recently did a top speed run with GPS just so I'd know since I'm always writing (indicated) after my top speed posts. I was less than 2% off on mine stock speedo with stock gearing.

I have hit the rev limiter and can hit 72mph. Kitaco, dcr cam, intake, exhaust, EjK tuner. I have been considering a wind screen to help on aero. I KNOW this is a huge factor because if I ride with my jacket unzipped my bike is significantly slower.

My SF is 10% off according to the GPS unit, and the GPS Speed app on my phone.
Stock gearing I have not adjusted it, it is in KM/H thought not MPH but really that should make no difference.

No.

Im any case, uk uses same us measuiring unit so.. Maybe old groms has shitty speedos.

Its same Engine!

No. This has been discussed many times. Euro spec speedos are very optimistic. They read about 5-7 mph too high. They do this so that Honda does not got dinged by the Euro governments that have strict laws about accurate speedometers. If they are found to read lower than the actual speed, they can get in trouble. So to prevent this they just make them read a little higher so they have a safety net. The US does not have such a strict law, so they don't add the speed "cushion" and actually read much more accurate. If you don't believe me, get a GPS and take a pic of it next to you Euro speedo.

Keit is accurate about the speedo reading over on euro bikes. A lot of UK guys post "intake and exhaust only, my bike does 80mph now" when in reality it's only 73 or so

Im not sure if ALL euro bikes read over but some certainly do. Easiest way to tell of course is to GPS yourself

with my own stuff I always wait at least 15-20 seconds at a maintained constant speed on both to verify due to refresh rate. otherwise it can be misleading. just my .02

yeah but all the other factors (air, asphalt grain, tyre pressure) are not constant so any test is technically irrelevant (metrology lab here)

squeezing 77 mph with stock gearing means that engine revolutions are over the red line and this will just rape the engine

I used a physical wind shield to reduce any air friction (zx10r at 2 meters in front of me while running) and at 120 kmph (approx 75 mph) the engine is clearly start to scream for excessive rotations (stock gearing)

so I'm pretty confused about the "5-7 mph difference" that means i should do read 130 kmph... I'm sincerely not intended to push my beloved bike at that insane speed '^^
