Haven't had any problems. I use a digital air gauge that's an easy one hand operation, even on my Grom.

 

I'm looking for some shorter 90 degree aluminum colored stems. Would like to do this when I change the tires next month. Has anyone made the switch?

I replaced my stock valve stems with these. They work and fit great.

Looks like the size is the correct one :encouragement:

 

You want the one I posted the one you posted has a smaller diameter and won't work in the stock wheels. 11.3mm is needed.

Any tip in removing the stock valve stem? I'm guessing it's just a rubber gommet so just push it thru towards the spoke of the wheel?

 

Side cutters or razor at bottom of exposed valve stem. They don't pull through

 

I was able to push them out using a flat head screw driver with no damage.

 

They are not reusable? I have the tires off.

 

You can reuse them, I'd replace them every few years. They dry rot and can break when they get old. I thought you were asking how to remove them not asking if you should

 

Haha. I'm so confused! I'm getting my wheels powder coated and need to remove the valve stem. I was asking how to remove them so that I can re use them. Per your instruction you mentioned side cutters or razor so I thought you meant to cut it off at the base of the exposed stem.

 

Cut them off and use new ones. They are not reusable.

 

Good stuff, will be ordering a set myself!

 

I agree and mine (2022) had a leak that warrented a valve step replacement.
