Stock headlights are too dim

Hi! I didn't realize how dim the stock headlights were until last night riding along the coast. I had a hard time seeing the road in front.
Can anyone recommend a brighter bulb or different headlight? Ideally, nothing too complicated since I'm not handy and am new to everything (motorcycles, groms, mods) haha.. thanks in advance!

Go with the Cyclops LED hightlight kit for the Grom. It is $70 plus shipping and has a higher Lumen output:Dollar than any halogen. The stock bulb is a 35W. The LED uses 20W (two elements) on low, while high consumes 40W (four elements). It was the very first thing changed on my Lady's bike since she does not have my natural Batman vision.

I got the V16 turbo LED that works great for cheap on ebay plus you do not have to change any wire or add a AC-DC converter, plug and play

Make sure you order the H4 V16 model that has Hi/Lo leds, should be 2 on each side.

Wonder how you are going to put the rubber dust booth back on the unit, what I did was remove the 3 little screws that hold the H4 silver metal circular unit and slip the booth on than re-screw the unit back on.

Yes, that rubber boot is the hardest part of the whole installation. The LED does have a more blue color to the light it produces. It does make reflective surfaces shine much better and also has a much more filled pattern from both beams. Also, there is no way someone cannot see you if they are anywhere in front of you. Looking back at my wife's bike when riding home from the pool at night will cause you to squint and rapidly look away.

There is a two differences between the ebay light Cisco shows compared to the Cyclops or Hardracing version:
The Cyclops does require you to connect the headlights to a DC power source, ie. the rear tail light.
It also has the reflector for the low beam to give the correct pattern.

Are those two things worth the extra money? Your wallet will decide.

I'm not sure if you can turn the above mentioned bulbs so the LED's face above and below instead of on each side. I don't know if that will make a difference in the Grom headlight housings either TDM or US. The LED unit from steady garage (Gojin) has an above and bellow configuration. On low beam, the upper LED is illuminated. With high beam, both LED's are used.
