QUESTION! cylinder removal

I have a question,

do you have to remove/loosen the cam chain tenson bolts under the motor?

also what is the torque specs for the two long bolts that bolt the cylinder to the crancase, these are the ones next to the cam cover.

I did loosen the bolt under the engine for the cam chain tensioner, those two bolts I tighten to 5ft/lbs

this should help you out, I've reused the engine cylinder gasket with no problem

Where did you come up with the 5 ft/lbs? I too was wondering this as I didn't see anything stated in service manuals.

I just did loosen the little horizontal bolt under the gear shift. Not the big one under the motor. Look in the service manual ;-)

the manuals include an 'unless otherwise stated' section with torque values for different tread diameters (note: not the same as bolt head diameters!)
