My 2020 UK monkey came fitted with the Honda factory alarm. I would add the rubbish factory Honda alarm. I don't use it and all it does is flatten the battery. Has anyone disconnected or removed it, and if so how please?

I did disconnect mine not long after getting the bike but only as a proof of concept really. Disconnected it, tried the remote to be sure, started monkey up, all ok but back then I was a bit nervous that there might have been consequences so I plugged it back in and it’s been like that ever since. It is nestled in among the wiring behind the side cover, the sounder is easy to spot then just follow wires back from that I seem to recall. No I am older and wiser, or more reckless, I might try again but leave it off, my biggest worry first time was throwing an error code then having to find somewhere to get it cleared

Looking on bike-parts-Honda.com and selecting a California Monkey 2019 ABS looks like there might be, but I am looking on my phone atm will look again at home on laptop for bigger image. 32606K44V01 looks promising as a part number, but if I do do it I’d most likely make one out of Sugru or just bind it with self amalgamating tape

Here it is in situ on my bike, and removed, and connector taped up. No error lights on starting up, not been for a ride yet though. Background current drain on battery much less (sorry didn't make note of the numbers but remember it was a significant drop in mA). Unclip the red connector from the frame first to give a bit more access room.

Yes, but tbh you aren't missing much, they aren't much louder than a kitchen timer and as OP said, all they do is have a drain on the battery even if not set. Much more a novelty than a functional feature, but I supose the answer back might be useful if you are parked in a sea of identical monkeys, but over here that's never going to happen
