the shortys are adjustable ?

 

I bought these cheap ones off of eBay. Been using them for a month with no problems.

Do they get closer to the bar though? Also, do they line up properly?

 

I'll take a pic when I get off work. They get a lot closer than the stock.

Alright dude, before you spam me with random ass links read my OP. I know how to use the search function, I also read through all of those links before posting this question. Guess what?! They don't answer my question genius. So why post links if your not going to help me out? Additionally, all your links point towards "shorty" levers, note that I'm not even necessarily looking for shorty levers.

fyi make sure you show him how the brake side gets closer than the clutch side

 

I'm gonna go out here on a limb and say that I'm pretty certain most levers will adjust farther open, and not close them into the grip.

The clutch especially needs to be able to fully engage & disengage, and if the stock lever can barely fully disengage the clutch, an adjustable lever that is closer to the grip definitely won't.

You can adjust your clutch wire to have it engage where ever you want. Well on most motorcycles you can, not sure about the Grom yet. On my bike I only have to pull it in maybe 25% to get to full engagement.

Thanks for the photo! I went ahead and ordered those, so cheap. I prefer standard length on big bikes, but I guess I'll give the shorties a try on the Grom.

 

II got the ebay shorties that fold upward and can confirm they do adjust closer to the grip.

 

Just got the levers in.

They kind of suck, I guess I'll keep them on the bike though.

I guess I shouldn't have got my hopes up for 1/10th the cost of brand name levers.

 

Can you share how they suck? I'm in the market for some shorty levers and trying to find out what the difference is between a brand name ones that cost over $100 versus the cheap ones... Minus the obvious difference in price. Thanks!

 

I bought the cheap set, had to make shims for the adjuster levers, so they would stay in position.

No issues here with my cheapo Chinese levers...

 

seems like its a hit or miss on the knock off levers, i think im gonna save up some $ and just get the asv or crg ones.

 

bought my wife the ASV levers but the clutch is still too high on the lowest setting. thinking about buying an eBay set and just using the clutch- will bend and file to her hearts content. anyone with small hands have success with levers on eBay?

 

I bought a set from the msx125 site. I reallllly like them. I have a buddy with the black and red from ebay and they have alot of slop unless I just got lucky.
