I don't really keep track of what I spend on this thing, to be honest. It's literally mentally categorized as a "money black hole toy," haha. That being said, I've pestered ARunto quite a bit with questions since he has a lot of the same mentality on setup.

I only got the 218 motor coming so I can keep up with bigger bikes on longer rides because I think it will be hilarious and humbling.

It honestly makes me laugh whenever I ride the Grom and it even makes it more fun to ride my bigger bikes afterwards. Sometimes you lose track of how cool it is to have 170hp on the Diavel, but an hour of riding the 10hp Grom makes the next Diavel ride a wheelie fraught hooligan experience. If that makes sense?

Finally got to 300 miles on the new motor. Did the oil change and swapped in the GoldPlug oil bolt, Takegawa super oil pump, and Sex Machine clutch springs. The springs are 30% stiffer versus the 10% RPM ones that I replaced. I didn't replace the plates yet, I'll do that at 600 miles.

Then I had a nice ride with the wifey and nothing blew up, so I live to Grom another day.

The fuel cap mounts to the OEM plug and lock. You just flip it over, pry out the little steel disc that covers the screws, remove three screws, and the top cover comes off. Then you use the same three screws to fasten the G-Craft plate on, replace the steel disc, and you're done. The only annoying part is re-seating the rubber gasket around the little steel plate. It's not difficult, just tedious.

As for how it functions, it's perfect. I love the look.
