Yoshi pipes are awesome!

Wow man! Just installed my Yoshi can and header tonight and all I can say is wow! My little Grom was pretty wimpy and didn't seem to have any guts the first 30 miles I put on it and I honestly was not impressed....now that I have installed this pipe it totally changed my opinion on the bike, I love the way it sounds and now it feels like it actually has power. I am amazed on how much of a difference this pipe has made, it feels like a totally different bike and has a ton of torque now.. I will try and get a sound clip later today for those who may be interested. Here is a pic of my buddy helping me with the install.

wow, are you really experiencing that much difference? damn nice! I'm gonna need to change my exhaust sooner rather then later! Hope they drop em in Belgium soon!
I just got mine too and it was worth every penny. Along with my 150cc light bore kit, the performance injector and the K&N filter it made a huge difference. I can pull up hills now without slowing down much. I should be getting my Ecu controller, head and cam soon and that should really wake up the engine. I'm guessing around 18HP should be do able.

Snake

did it help the top end or all over?

you said your big bore added around 2 bhp based on the dyno how much would you estimate this added?

How is the bike and big bore running?

I would guess maybe i got 1/2 to 1 additional HP with the pipe. I definitely notice a difference up hills and it did help the top end a bit. The engine idles great, every bit as good as stock, but with more power and revs faster. I have something like an additional 400 km on the light bore kit and i don't regret it one bit. I Can't wait to get the cam and EFI tuner, I'm guessing they will get the hp and torque curves back up where they should be.

There are two other reasons i love this pipe. The sounds is really great and is not too loud at lower RPMs. This is good for when you are rolling by cops so you don't draw unwanted attention, when you open it up it really sings though. The other is the look, the pipe is really beautifully crafted and complements the bikes overall appearance. I would not hesitate to buy it again.

I love the pics of wrenching in the house! I did my airbox mod in the kitchen/family room. A/C running and never breaking a sweat.

i change my oil in my house so i wouldn't have to sweat... it has been 5-6 hours... and there is still a wierd smell of butter in my house! but it was either a smelly house or sweating like a dog while getting eaten alive by mosquitos!
