For those of you that have a regional mini-moto/mini GP race league available to you, do any of you plan to race your Grom? Here in Denver, I plan to enter my Grom in our local series, Rocky Mountain Mini Moto (assuming my Grom ever gets here). Though I've never participated in any kind of organized racing, I'm still super excited. What are all your thoughts on the Grom as a full blown mini GP racer? How do you think it will stack up against other popular mini's like KX65, NSR50s, etc? It looks like the only major "problem" with the Grom is the super low stock rearsets that seems to limit lean angle quite a bit.
Personally, I think the Grom could be huge for mini road racing. Considering that a lot of mini road racing seems to be done by adults, I think a mini-bike that's actually designed for a grown up (as opposed to a 9 year old) could be a big hit. It seems like right now the US is still very much in its "beta phase" with the Grom considering how limited availability is. However, I think the after-market is about to explode with parts for these bikes, and I'm sure we'll see a lot of race-specific parts too. What do you guys think?
