I have velly little money in my Monkey. Preflashed ECU cost the most. Maybe $500 total in parts. DIY mods cost me nothing but own time (decat and airbox hack). Haven't installed my ported head which will add to the bill but stock Honda parts for these little bikes are velly inexpensive. Not to mention I get a hefty discount on new bikes and parts thru the dealership.

I decided to keep mine standard engine/fuel wise. I have added a rack and lights and bits and bobs............I want it to stay reliable and last me forever....................priceless

Bought the '22 with 600 miles on the clock for a smidge over 3k. Added, collected, and installed most of 3k worth of go fast parts. Have some engine stuff to install but I will wait until the off season to do that. High compression piston, cam, larger tb. Probably gonna build another engine to waste some more money on because if one engine is good, 2 is better. That being said, I plan on crashing this thing. A lot. Money well spent.

 

Im about $12k in on mine 23. Its a swapped bike.

i can see what you're doing but
that's a years pension !!!!!!!
and I would be eating beans on toast for
365 days? i will stick with my Monkey
and the very few pounds spent on it
