Basically I bought a 16t front sprocket in hopes to gain more top speed but I don’t know which rear sprocket I need to increase top speed. Any suggestions? Thanks!
It depends on your engine setup if it will take (performance wise) the 16 tooth and smaller rear sprockets.Try gearingcommander.com to determine your speed in combination with the sprockets you have.
I have a 181 and put a 16/34 on it. the 15/34 was very snappy and quick, but I haven't been running an oil cooler so I tried the 16T to lower the revs. The bike still has good acceleration, but isn't strung out while cruising. This 16T would be a pig on many smaller setups without a 37T rear or something.
