You've done or want to do something cool to your Monkey and I want to hear about it.
Upgrades, modifications, accessorizing, tell me.
What was it?
How do you like it?
Would you recommend?
How much did it cost ya? (ballpark is fine)
Pics if ya got em.

I'll kick it off and say that I haven't done much to the bike. Added a Honda rack, Takegawa exhaust and quick-release seat caps by MNNTHBX. Accessorizing is all about personal taste, so it's difficult to recommend something that other owners may not like. Total investment in accessories; around $600. Fifty years ago I purchased my first Honda motorcycle new for less than $500. Accessorizing nowadays can get a little pricy.

Thanks!
The new exhaust is slightly louder than stock and I feel it was a worthwhile investment. I made the change immediately, so I can't offer a performance comparison. I also did not care for the look of the original header pipe, cat and additional plumbing and prefer the extra ground clearance with the Takegawa system. I will occasionally use a motorcycle jack and with the stock exhaust, would be unable to do so.

Here's mine so far.
Chimera seat bolts. Makes taking the seat off easier.
Chimera preload spacers. Prevents me from bottoming out the suspension on every little bump
Udom carchang Horn cover. looks cool and protects the horn from rocks and stuffs
Custom Taylor 33 rimtape. Visability

All in all around a bout 200 bucks in so far oh and like maybe 10 bucks of gas used since purchase lol.

Thanks for that. Also, you asked about prices and recomendations; for what's on the bike now I do recommend the changes but that depends on what you're trying to go for. Costwise, I've spent more on the monkey than I should but I attribute that to enjoying modding and seeing what happens. That and if I can focus on modding the monkey and not my scrambler overall the mods stay relatively cheap and focused.

Love those seat access screws, but at $50, I think it's a little too much. MNNTHBX (man in the box?) has one that's same depth as the hole and you use your key to unscrew. Still pricey, but $10 cheaper.

Yeah they were a bit pricy but I let the wife pick between all the options and she was like the monkey one and I'd have been on the couch had I bought different ones

Sweet ride. Thats alot of mods lol I feel like my list is gonna end up that long eventually.

How are you liking those tires? Any particular reason you chose to go wider in the rear but not wider in the front?
(from my understanding a 140/70 is close to a 130/80 in diameter but the 120/70 is a smaller than the stock 120/80 obviously)
