Hello everyone,

Just wanted to share my video of the grom + K&N filter, small driving in bangkok, the top speed is around 8:00 mn

I don't know if you can noticed but the torque / power is much better with the filter, the top speed seems to be more or less the same but can be reached much more easily, even if i could not push the bike very hard because of the traffic jam as you will see.

Next week ill have the chest mount and maye new exhaust, ill post another video.

Top speed on video is 113 km/h but as you can see i could not gather so much speed, maybe just during 200 meters at the end of the bridge so i'm quite sur that if you push it hard it can go up to 120 km/h

wtf that video must have been sped up, it looks like your groms going like 100mph,

and you can pass cars whenever you want to..... wtf my grom doesnt accelerate this fast, is the knn the only mod you have ?

Aha no, no speed up, promised ! but the video is shaking a lot so it feels a bit faster than it actually is.






Yah the K&N is the only mod, only other things that i have are the SBS brake pads and pirelli diablo but it doesn't really help for speed


The accelerating gain with the K&N is amazing, but the bike is so loud starting from 6.5k rpm, it feels like an angry (and thirsty) tiger !
Before the filter i could not go over 8k rpm, now i can passe the 9k rpm + with no problems at all.

Yah, the problem is that if i don't setup the gopro with that angle of view we would never see the speedometer,

If i'm lucky, next week i will receive my Yoshimura rs-9 and the chest mount for the Gopro, then i'll make a better video (even if uploading a 1gb vid with 512 kbps up speed is a real pain in the ***)

wow. i dont have the balls to drive anything like this... not only do u lane split, but you weave through cars and traffic, cut in front of cars while taking the inside lane of a turn!

u got some skills and brass balls!!!

here i tx, i barely lane split at a light. it is at the judgement of a police officer to give you a ticket! texas law from ehat i read isnt specific enough to say if lane splitting is legal or illegal!

I drive a bit like you I don't go between cars that are very close like you do though.

I am thinking about getting the k&n filter too but the opinions are so different, some say it doesn't make a difference and now you say it's very noticable.

Also i think the weight of the rider has alot of influence on the bike same as wind...

I weight 63 kg wich is probably closer to the tai guys then the average american.

Hum Texas seems to be a lovely place aha, here in Thailand we don't have this kind of problem, even if the police cath you 90% of the time they will ask for 100-200 THB "under the table" and let you go within 1mn.

For me the gain is very noticeable and worth the money, however the bike's sound can be problematic over 8k rpm its roaring out ! Im 74 kg so im jealouse of your 63 KG, you will go as fast as wind !

Well, i usually don't drive like this in Bkk and i would not do this everywhere, i know this road perfectly well and i know where are the bumps and holes, don't try this in a road that you do not know, not with the stock rear shock and fork, i already have a bad experience about it !

Just bought this a couple of month ago, it's incredibly well balanced and stable, quite unknown in Europe but its an old fashion bike with a top built quality (made from Japan and for Japan, so..) :
