Yes but it is getting easier. I can always catch neutral if I am rolling to a stop. Once stopped.... not so easy. Revving the engine helps. If engine is off I put it in first and just role the bike backwards a bit and then I can click it right into neutral.
All of this is getting easier as the miles add up and it breaks in.
On these engines, just let the clutch off a tiny bit as your shifting in to neutral and you'll actually feel it click in. Its a finesse with the clutch lever but do it a couple times and you'll get the feel for it.
