Does anyone know what metal is on the bottom of the front forks, I do not like the black color and I was thinking I like the look of raw metal and hoping the lower black painted area is aluminum and if it is steel than I'll just clear coat it.

Got a magnet? See if it sticks. If it sticks, it's steel. If it doesn't it's probably aluminum.

*EDIT* Ahh... you don't have your bike yet. From some of your other posts, I thought you had your bike already. I understand why it'd be hard to do the magnet test.

yep just prepping all my spare parts so when I get my Grom in it will be remove and replace and I will be ready to ride. The Grom engine will be left in Stock form until I get a baseline of Stock power before I start mods on the airbox, counter sprocket and maybe pipes.

The only real add on will be the HID unit

I'm also looking at running the wires on the handle bar through the bar so I'll have a clean look like I did on my Harley
