If power mods had no increase in the noise level, I would have done them already. prob send an email to cjr and dhm i would be curious is a cam and tune alone or with an intake/cam/tune but keeping stock exhaust would be an improvement theres a big drop in power from midrange but im curious...

6000 miles on the 2019 Grom.

2000 on the NEO engine.

Maintenance Week:

Oil and Filter: Found some plastic in the oil from the cam chain guides. Removed stator cover to inspect rollers. Minor but detectable wear on the plastic wheels. Will replace with metal guides.

Valve check and Cam chain check (manual tensioner). In spec.

Chain replaced: Protaper 420 116 link (stretch swingarm)

Pro Taper 420 MX Chain (134 Links) (Gold)


Ordered a DID 0 ring chain for next chain replacement. Terrible life out of the non 0 ring chains.

Wonder that myself. I am guessing with the stock automatic hydrostatic tensioner, the plastic is the engineering choice of material.

I am running a manual tensioner which may do better with metal rollers.

Time will tell.
