Can anyone post a pic of tdc? I see about 3 lines and used a kabob stick on the piston to feel too but want to be sure I am at tdc. Im not sure which line it is on the crank. Thanks

Thank you! I am doing mine at 600 miles. My exhaust was a tad loose and my intake tight. Just by one feeler gauge but I like to check them at the recommended intervals

The 2 parallel lines right after the "T" are what you line up with the notch. Lines and letters are tiny, faint, and easy to miss. It helps to know that they will appear after the intake valve opens (moves inward or down) and that the intake (top) valve only moves inward during the intake stroke and at no other time. It also helps to know that the flywheel turns all by itself during the intake stroke, so right after that happens, keep rotating the crankshaft counterclockwise and observe the intake valve returning to the up (closed position) and this will be the compression stroke. Soon as the intake valve has moved up all the way, keep turning the crankshaft and start looking for the "F". The "T" and parallel lines are right after it. I use a small flashlight.

Page 3-6 of the Service Manual has a photo plus a diagram of TDC
