Takegawa 143CC delayed AGAIN

3840 Views 11 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  supermoto68
I just got word a short while ago that my order for a Takegawa Hyper E-Stage 143cc kit has been delayed by Takegawa until June due to production issues (Was suppose to hit North America this week). I suspect this will further delay the May release of the 181cc too. Just thought I would pass on the word for those looking to go with a BBK that the wait for Takegawa just got longer...... Not sure what route to go now. Maybe Kitaco?? or the home brew 170cc that is due to release soon...... Need MO POWAH for fat kid!

thanks for the heads up, i was going to get a 181 kit as a backup
some1 just posted a thread on a crf450x swap

looks like it bolts right up, it definitely fits in the engine bay... some custom brackets and some other stuff im sure.....

if you wanna go big... dont shoot yourself short by a few additional cc, maybe a full motor swap is in order?
Just an edition to this....I just got an email from minimobracing.com whom I ordered the 143 kit from a month ago. They are sending my the Kitako 164 kit for the same price in 3 weeks!!! I am glad the kit was delayed.
Its a bummer I was going to order the takewaga fi con.. This delay is shit. :-\

He is also located in Japan if I remember correctly. Perhaps they found something that needed correction or simply ran out of parts needed to make the North America shipment. Who knows, I mean I suppose I would rather have a delay than to have problems assuming that is even what happened. Delays can mean just about anything is holding it up. I am sure they are not excited to call vendors and tell them the news either because this is when everyone jumps ship and they ultimately lose sales.
You will feel the punch with the 143 cc worth it :) as you can see in dyno chart i posted
But more cc is always welcome
does anyone have these kit's installed already or is the truth they have never hit the US yet ?
