Hi, is anyone running higher revlimit than stock with stock springs.. I would like to know how far the stock spring can go before float...

Idk but fwiw BrianS said due to piston speeds it's best to keep the stock engine under 10k

My IMAP is set to 10k and I've hovered in the 9800 rpm area for 3-4 minutes, it sounded strung out but then again the engine stops building hp at 7-8k

So people are running 10k reliably with (((((stock valve spring))))), ???????? I might just wait until big bore kit and better springs before I raise my rev limiter..

Bad idea in my opinion the bypass rev limit

at a certain point you just need more HP at lower RPM

of course we know RPM stands for ruin people's motor

Far as I know we have only had one catastrophic failure where the engine blew, and that bike had been modified. No oem failures I'm aware of. I am curious about this because I ride my wot most of the time, but I don't get it over 65 mph too often...mostly rides at 62 mph wot which is right at redline. I have never hit the rev limiter.

I don't know of anyone having problems yet running in the redline for extended periods of time
I could possibly see issues arising
these motors have been running cool with the weather

With Stock rev limit. You can hit the revlimiter all day with no problems/damage.

I do it all the time bouncing of the rev limiter in every gear
