Granted this us on the stock exhaust but i always felt that heat shield was out if place... so i deleted it.

Step 1. Remove two 8mm chromed cap screws from the exhaust front section.

Step 2. Remove heat shield and toss in recycle bin.

Step 3. Cut off bosses and grind smooth.
Be careful as the pipe is very thin. Welding might be in order.

Step 4. Paint with black exhaust paint. It will smoke after startup so give the bike ~5000rpm for about a minute.

Enjoy.

Its laughably small. I grabbed a mitutoyo dial caliper to check. Just shy of 7/8" o.d.
Wall thickness for pipe that size is around 0.062" which makes for an internal diameter of ~3/4".

The very first thing I noticed when the salesman brought my new Grom around the corner was the 2 stainless steel bolts holding this thing on. They stick out like a sore thumb! I have a Kingkongsoap belly pan that will most def hide the whole works.
