speedo readings

ok, i know alot of you go by the initial recorded gps speed reading of about 3mph. the 66 indicated 63 actual. but i was riding along side my friends grom with stock gearing, and was no where near the approx. 3 mph. my speedometer was reading 65 an his was reading 58. an i know alot of people also swear by the stock readings with the stock gearing. i also indicated the exact number as the "your speed is" signs posted up all over the place with my stock gearing.

so i feel really slow now. i wish i didn't compare. oh wells. so now i'm guessing my indicated 73 at redline on a 14t front is more like 66+-1mph

anyone else seeing the same?

Acording to the Gear calculator

Stock gearing at 9200 RPM (Rev limiter) gives you 74.8MPH (Calulated on gear ratios and wheel diameters)

14T gearing at 9200 RPM gives you 69.9 MPH

14T gearing at 8000 RPM gives you 60.7 MPH
Huh? Now I'm conflicted on what gearing to use.
