OK, so I was installing my T2W "chazzo" levers yesterday and in the the adjusting on the clutch lever I had to do (passage for the cable in the lever is different than stock so the free play required adjustment) I was sitting on the back, with it not running but in 1st gear and I forgot I wasn't in neutral and pushed the bike backward with my feet... and it moved. It didn't move easily, but it *did* move. And made kind of a whining/gear growling sort of sound when it did. I immediately stopped and didn't try it again. Haven't ridden since I did it, was wondering if this is "normal"? I wasn't able to do this with my Ninja, or at least, I don't think I could. As an aside, I also noticed that when I adjust the free play nut/wheel at the clutch lever, it makes a "tink tink tink" kind of noise like the cable is binding or something...? Anyway, all this put me ill at ease.

That whining noise while pushing it is the engine rotating. And the bike would be much easier to push in gear than a ninja with a larger motor.

How easy is it to push it in gear? If it feels too easy your clutch cable is probably too tight and nearly engaged

It's normal. The whining noise while in gear going backwards is the starter and gears rotating, not the engine. Once the whining stops then the engine will want to rotate. If you push it forward while in gear then it would be rotating the engine right away. You don't hear a whine forwards while in gear because the starter gears and mechanism is on a one-way configuration. It's hard to explain, hope you understand.

I don't know about the tinking though.
