I found these Roll Bars / Steel Frame add-on for the Grom that I'm thinking about. Just wondering what everyone thought of them?

On the fence. Makes it look like a mini ducati monster but its all cosmetic. There's no functionality beyond aesthetic.

Regardless of how they look, they add weight with no other real benefit. Seems to me the best mods for the Grom are any that decrease weight or increase power. If it looks good and decreases weight then it's a go.

Some people don't go for the "best" mods. Sure, performance mods are nice. But people mod to make it their own, whether the benefit is form or function. To each their own...keep calm and GROM ON!!

I like the way they look. I even thought about getting them for Great White.

It's low on my priority list though and could easily get bumped :walk:

If I saw you on a run and you had those on your bike I would tell you they look great. But since you asked here I will just say that I am trying to remove crap and weight FROM my Grom, not add TO it.

I think they look absolutely fantastic, but I cant imagine adding something that is just essentially unnecessary weight.

i think they look cool.. i dunno how much more they can weigh vs the stock whale tale.. lol.. they sell for $40 or so USD over there.. 180+shipping is crazy.. if was around $50 i'd buy a set.. it would equal out the rear fender weight lol

On a black grom the red looks killer. On the red, not so much and the black barely shows up.

I got them, on my red Grom, I get lots of compliments, I still hit the rev limiter in 4th, didn't pay for them either, all points null and void.

When I got mine I cleaned up the welds, stripped the paint, and then repainted them in a gunmetal color. When I installed these I didn't need my MNNTHBX brace anymore. These things aren't heavy- at all. I think the shipping weight was something like 4 pounds. And after removing the stock exhaust and whale tail, you still come out probably 7 pounds ahead of stock.

my tidytail weighs about that much....just sayin
