A friend and I were out yesterday on the Groms and he went down. At his request I will not post photos or say who it was. He's hurt, left collar bone and right arm, but the bike took the worst of it thankfully. Who knew that Grom can break a concrete culvert into more than three pieces? Lets hope he has a speedy recovery.

i still can't believe it.. hope recovery goes well.. grom can be fixed
that grom isnt getting fixed, when I lifted it into my truck you can tell, almost a "S" shape to it

Sorry to hear! Hope he gets better soon.
Just because these bikes are smaller doesn't mean they are any "safer" than other motorbikes. All it takes is a driver not paying attention or road conditions..etc
I see a lot of people on this forum riding around in T-shirts, Shorts, flipflops.... Road rash is NOT fun. Better to break a bone. Ask me how I know.

new frame can be bought.. so can every other piece.. ask John.. :) but if not.. i got $500 ready to buy :)

it will need lots of work, cant even get power to turn on or get it into neutral

So sorry to hear this. I used to think crashing was the worst part of riding motorcycles. I was wrong. The worst part is when your friends die.

This is a dangerous sport let us never forget that.

Here is to a speedy recovery.

Also, left collar bone and right arm? Gonna be hard to wipe for a while.
