After installing my SBL Double row headlight incorrectly, The relay was left on and completely drained the battery. I didn't ride it for 3-4 days so I may have killed the battery. I find often that I need to trickle charge it every 2-3 days, bc by the 4th day, my won't start anymore! When i go for all day rides, by the end of the day, it starts struggling to start!

Can someone tell me the correct way to determine if my Grom is charging my battery correctly? I don't know if it is my charging system or is it the battery!

I've watched a few videos on YT, but I'm confused...

With that said, I'm looking to replace my battery. I have found standard AGM ytz5s batteries for about $30-$44.

What do ya'll think about lithium batteries? I'm only hesitating because I would need to buy another backup charger for lithium batteries and they cost 2x the price of a standard AGM battery.

Can you jump start a lithium battery?

AGM batteries when they go bad leak, but lithium batteries when they go bad catch on fire! Yeah, i know it is rare but that is what Tesla owners use to say until their garage/house caught fire. Some of these batteries use is LiFePo. That has been around for a while in the RC world. I have seen a few RC batteries while charging catch on fire!

I'm looking at:
Shorai LFX07L2-BS12 $85
Battery Tender BTL09A120C $83 Amazon Prime
Antigravity $200
Cv4 $99
WPS HJTX20HL-FP-IL $80

The early lipo batteries were very unstable I use them in my RC cars as stated above I had a couple catch fire but the newer ones have been great no problems. I've been considering one for my motorcycles to, they last forever and put out a slight increase in volts and if properly maintained will last many many years. I say if your in the market go ahead and get one

There are some name brands (namely DelTran/Battery Tender) getting in on the Lithium game, so I imagine they're about ready for primetime. I've considered it but I'm going to wait until my YTZ5 conks out first.

those diy a123 is nice. thought about trying that for my scooter, but cost to get a proper balancing circuit and etc didn't make it as ideal. i know there are cheaper ways to get around it, but i like to do things right.
