Any company make one that's near stock sound and flow enough for a big bore kit?

i see exhaust threads but hearing more loud than quiet. And some peoples quiet might not be the next guys definition of quiet.

Would be nice if an exhaust/aftermarket part sticky could be made with what's available.

One option is to use a performance header pipe with the factory muffler.

Well I'm not sure. It is quiet. The race header will get rid of the catalytic converter which is prob restrictive so your exhaust would flow better but still be near stock in sound level.

Yeah I've been reading just shortly on the header swap without a cat. Seems more and more what I'll be looking for. Does anybody have a idea where the cat is in the stock header with a picture?

go to a muffler shop and get them to cut out the old and weld in a new piece of material..... maybe even go with the same size od/id as the stock cat but it will be gutted. then paint. orrrrrrr just tell everybody in the neighborhood to suck it and that loud pipes save lifes and order a full exhaust. either way, either way then<superbad quote :)

Yeah but I'll have two grom's to do. I just don't want them loud like my 3 other vehicles. It's just $85 + shipping for it so it's a cheaper option than a full exhaust. I don't care about spending money on things but I'd think it would look better than cutting up the stock pipe.

people that put on slip on exhaust, do those just install onto the stock head pipe with or without an adapter?

Yeah - it' $85, but check the shipping. I placed my very first Grom part order from these guys and they're legit. Order takes a bit to arrive, but prices are about what you'd expect for US Retail when you add the shipping to the cost. Let us know what you figure out. I've been thinking something very similar. Cheers!

I purchased a Moriwaki exhaust from webike japan, top notch service and shipping. It took about 7-8 days door to door. I am not sure about US orders but Canada it cost me $117 at the post office because customs made me pay taxes and importation fees.
