Well, the Pimp Chimp will power a 2nd gear wheelie. I guess I’m finished except for a stronger starter. The Monkey topped out at 52 mph stock. Suspension was dangerously soft. I still have the stock tires on, but I rarely shred turns. I would like to make this a post about what is the best route to hop up a monkey, but all you have to do is get everything. Bbk, hindle, oil cooler, intake, catch can, manual camchain adjuster and aftermarket tensioner with all the upgrades available, 34 mm throttle body, aracer with AF1, head work (a ported n polished 2v is plenty fast and valve train is problematic, imho), Ohlins front and rear, smr clutch, 16/32 sprockets stock chain. My goal was top speed. I’m up around 70 now. No tuck. We don’t have hills, but lots of wind and every fifth car is a cop. I never thought I would want a stretched swingarm. Holeshots are hard to hold down. SMR clutch is a beast!!!
