One of the first mods I purchased for the Grom was the ComposiMo Tidy Tail. I purchased this months before I even got my Grom so I would have a project ready to go the minute I took delivery of the Grom. Well, as we know the first TidyTail kits were based off the MSX125 rear turn signals and the Grom requires a few more parts to get the stock blinkers to work. I've been looking the past few weeks for turn signals and happen to run into the perfect cheap solution on Sunday.

I cruised down to Cycle Gear in Austin looking for a new weather proof jacket for an ATV ride/review coming up this week and happen to walk to the back of the store to check out all the accessories. I ran across Speedmetal Micro Arrow short turn signals (non-led) that had a cool shape and still maintained that stock look. Picked up a couple of sets along with some other riding gear (more on that later!) and headed home to see if these new turn signals would work.

Sure enough, the fit is absolutely perfect with the ComposiMo TidyTail! The nice thing about these turn signals is the fact that they are not LED makes it a plug in play bolt on for the Grom. There were no wires to splice, they used the stock bullet type connectors. It took a total of about a hour to install the new lights with the tidy tail and gives the bike a really clean look.

I'm planning to put the same ones on the front of the bike. I need to order an adapter plate first to cover up the two holes that the stock signals used. I'll post more pics on that once I do the install.

For $15.00, I don't think you can go wrong with these lights. They provide the same light (maybe slightly better) then the stock turn signals but a much cleaner look. Not only are they cheap, but they look great and they are easy to install! For anyone that has a Cycle Gear or Motorcycle parts store local to them, I would highly recommend picking up a set.

Gromination at Dascrow's house this past weekend! You can see a couple side profile shots of the tidy tail and smaller turn signals here as well:

Yep! I got mine a local Cyclegear but paid full boat. I just hope I dont get pulled over for being below the minimum distance between blinkers law in CA...
