About 25 years ago I had a brilliant uni job working for a company called One For The Road.
The deal was I rode around London on a Monkey going to people who had driven into town and then had too much to drink to drive home. It was pre-booked.
I would meet them, dismantle the specially adapted Monkey - the front section unbolted and folded down, the petrol tank went in a bag and the back end in a bigger bag - stick it in the customer's boot, drive them home. Then I would reassemble the Monkey and ride off to my next job (the bags folded up and I would bungee them to the seat and sit on them, giving me some extra height).
What I want to know is whether anyone knows of a company that can adapt a Monkey like that, or knows who did it for One For The Road all those years ago.
The firm didn't last all that much longer than a couple of years after I stopped working there but the bikes were brilliant.
