New white grom in Laos (wrong forum sorry)

Hi all,

I'm Laurent from Belgium and living now in Laos, I just bought this cute white grom.

It's really a success here, the white is sold out everywhere.

I took the pic in front of our new place we just open, a beer cave with about 160 Belgian beers.

I will do first:

Airbox mod
New exhaust
New seat
White belly
14 teeth in front
light under the seat

If you have advice for a noisy double exhaust (want to be heard by others because they don't really know how to drive ) and also how to plug a light or neon on the battery.

Here we are. Have enough time to put some new stuff.

Next step: sproket 14t, white light under the seat, and maybe belly with a white light too (but the belly here seems pretty big).

The exhaust is a fake one of course (90$) but only fake here ... and its loud, my god, almost the same noise without exhaust, hopefully here nobody really care, only foreigners complain...

I did the airbox mod, but don't really feel something as I don't go too fast, only 90kms on clock, wait 500+ to go faster and harder :p

I already saw this website, there is a couple of here in shops in Vientiane, but fake, a yoshimura, who doesn't exist on internet (double exhaust with aluminium silencer) for 100$ uh uh.

A lot of stuff from Thailand is fakes unfortunately. I've seen "titanium" "akrapovic" exhausts with rusty sleeves.

Ben (Motobot) is a good guy and will advise you on which items that he sells are the best quality or if any are just bling. He will even sell you some stick on yoshimura badges if you really want them, you can make a fake yourself.

Or you can pay $800 for a real akrapovic. You just let us know if it goes any faster, ok?

Yes, I like the transformers windscreen on motobot racing.

I will have a look tomorrow as they should recieve new stuff here in a shop.

I start to be a bit paranoid about noise, I have a noise like not loud "clack clack" on the back, will see if is the chain need some grease.

Also, I heard quite loud the fuel pump; I guess is this, is the same noise when you turn the key, you heard the fuel pump starting then stop until you start it. But when I start it, I still heard the fuel pump (I still have the stock exhaust so it doesn't cover this whining noise)

The chain may be out of adjustment, best check it.

The fuel pump on this bike is quite loud - just get a louder exhaust :)

Really have to check the chain, sounds louder ...

I don't know if the air box mod can change the sound of the bike ?

I may become paranoid, but ... I will try to record it in a quite place. In fact for the air box mod everything ok, the things is inside, there is a small pipe. I mean I remove the pipe inside, but at the end there is still a small corner, I don't know if need to be cut or not.

In this pic, the corner has been cut. http://www.hondagrom.net/forums/attachments/15822d1414208137-k-n-replacement-filter-factory-airbox-now-available-img_0475.jpg

In Laos I think 250 to be legal. But soon with Asean it will probably change.

Hey man, I'm from Los Angeles but just moved to Saigon, Vietnam and bought a blue MSX. Do they have shops with aftermarket toys for our Groms in Laos? They have a few here in Saigon even a Saigon MSX club. I recommend getting the MNNTHBX double exhaust but it runs along the belly of the bike. Thats a no no for me during the rainy season and streets begin to flood. Motorbikes turn into jet skies man, that's how flooded the streets get. I need to keep my exhaust high which im still in the market for. 10710876_1482045705353755_6102169737259495470_n.jpg
