I have the same issue with my 2013 CB1100 - Have to order everything from Japan.

Samurider.com is a great site - Takashi can get you anything offered in Japan, and his English is great.

I was looking for an OEM style exhaust that eliminated the extra plumbing under the bike, which the stock system had. I decided to make the change now, while the various rubber parts on the exhaust were still new and supple. Everything went together well and if you like the look of the stock pipe, this system looks even better. It's slightly louder than the stock unit and I included some pictures of my bike with the new exhaust along with a short video (another Monkey owner) describing the system, as well.

If you're looking for a louder or different style exhaust... keep searching.

Question on install. The rear plastic exhaust cap has 2 screws and a pin that goes into a grommet. I found the grommet hole on the takegawa muffler is smaller than the stock unit. I was not able to use the grommet because the plastic exhaust cap pin doesn’t fit. Did anyone else have this issue? any solution? Thanks Mark

I did have the standard look Takegawa bu changed it to the twin tail version. When I fitted the standard look some of the holes needed a bit of work to get them to line up and at least one needed retapping from what I recall

For just the exhaust you’ll be ok; you may want to reset the ECU but otherwise it’ll figure itself out.

Agreed, after almost bang on 50 miles after the change it sprung into life, not hugely but noticable

I bought the takegawa sp pipe and it flat out works!! It revs up quicker, it's not loud, fits perfect, little bit stronger on the bottom end, now I change the gearing, went to 13 tooth front, and next week I put 39 on rear, 13 tooth is way better than stock, but I am a trials bike rider, I want the first gear low, mine is 2023 monkey, stk gearing 14--37 is way too tall, bike lugs won't rev out,
