Just rigged a Ka-Bar Mk1 Navy knife to my GROM this afternoon and thought I'd share. These next generation Mk1s have a Kydex sheath and polymer handle-- unlike the original leather wrapped models. I think it's the perfect size for this pint-sized motorcycle. Got some spacers and bolted it right into the old exhaust mounts. Roger that? What do you guys think?

Nice mod. I'm trying to figure out how/where to mount a lock box for my handgun. Something with a hidden release switch, easy access, but concealed and out of sight. Any ideas? Let me know what you come up with.

Shit man. The lock box for my handgun is in my waistband in a piece of Kydex. If you have the MNNTHBX fender elim, there's enough room down below for a Gunvault mini/nano. I will try some stuff out at the shop and see if I can make something work. There's already a nice bracket to work with and the Gunvaults are slim. Could mount upside down.

Boom. Let's get you one of these. Size should work: 8.2"X6"X2.2"

Around $20 my cost.

Might thoughts on it are better to have a gun and never need it then to need a gun and not have it. I would love to never ever have to use a gun again but unfortunately that is not the world we live in.

Didn't mean to thread jack and turn this into a guns on Groms. I have a CCW for Ohio. There are locations that you can not carry your weapon, and I am looking for a way to keep it secure and out of sight but still accessible. I hope I never need it.

I get what you are saying, there are so many degenerates out there these days that want to take what you worked hard for. I do find it a bit odd to attach a gun case or a knife to a grom though. I guess if someone steals the bike and gets away with it they will get a cool bike and a nice gun. Considering it weighs so little someone could take on in less than a minute.

Thanks for sharing, never know when you come on a accident scene where you need to cut someone's car seat belt to get them out of their vehicle or if you need to slice someone's vehicle tire that is trying to run away from a crime scene or a hit and run accident.

I myself carry one of these knives in all my vehicles, the buck knife at the top is older than most members on here and I used it when I was in the Navy onboard ship. Most of my knives are the CRKT knives that you buy from Big 5. I always wait when these CRKT knives go on sale for $19.99

It's kind of sad people feel the need to carry weapons around to feel safe. To each his own, but I'm glad I live in a place where crime is very low.
Sounds like you live in Fantasyland, bro. Ever been around the country or outside it? The world is pretty nasty. Evil is lurking around every corner. Speak softly and carry a big stick. That being said, the knife is just for show. I thought it would be a unique mod. Don't bring a knife to a gun fight. Unless you're in FantasyLand. Then, you don't need anything. That is, of course, until you need it. Good luck.

I have the buck knife at the top(from my dad who was on a destroyer) :) and love crkt! Ken Onion makes some good knives for them. And yes, always betta to be prepared than caught with your pants down. Crime can happen anywhere anytime! Have you seen the video of someone stealn a grom in asia...then another guy shoots his dumbass so the kid gets his grom back. Happened in 13 sec. Everyone wants your grom....protect it.

TOO MANY MODS......too little time! HondaGrom.net
