lol this is no surprise. Motor parts are being put directly on bikes for sale. They will not be caught up for some time I'd think
I'm thinking HONDA CORPORATE or someone on any of these GROM USA website that is connected/associated with HONDA USA will hint to them that maybe they should up the price of their GROM parts.

I'm glad I bought most of my GROM spare parts before my GROM came in "which should be this Friday/Saturday" pick up date.

These prices below are Northern Calif prices
Example of price increase on Dec 5 2013 I ordered a spare set of front and rear rims, "this included the bearings, spacer, dust seal.
front rim $199.58,
rear rim $221.79

Same dealer I recheck my order just to make sure and it is good but the price check on Dec 8 2013 is
Front rim $266.82
rear rim $296.51

Checking with the dealer why the price went HIGH in 3 days from my order the sales person told me it was corporate decision

now if you look on East Coast Honda Dealer website their prices are
front rim $205.45
rear rim $228.31

Yep so I'm sure with the popularity of the Grom Honda Corporate USA will figure out a way to make more money. But hey it is the American way free enterprise.

really stick it to them by not buying anything youll show them
He who controls the parts and products controls the price.

Anyway since the Grom has a 1 year warranty you ride it for a year like you stole it, then you mod it after a year of Grom abuse.

Do the online shopping for Honda parts and you might be able to find a cheaper price out of state. I did and that is why I buy from Babbitt Honda.

This goes out to everyone:
About a month ago, Honda called my dealer and asked if there was a problem with the Grom engine, that they did not know about? My dealer is one of the largest in the country. The dealer asked Honda what they were concerned about, why the call? Honda said that they had ordered more Grom engine parts, than all the rest of the dealers in the Midwest, combined. Something had to be wrong! They told Honda that they had this guy that was doing all sorts of R&D on the bike, and not to worry. True Story.
I have 12 cylinders, with another 10 on order. I want at least 25 to start this big bore kit production. HONDA HAD NO IDEA THAT THE DEMAND FOR PARTS WOULD BE THIS GREAT! I mean, no idea, they blew it. So, I'm guessing that, like it or not , some of you guys will have to exchange your cylinders in Feb when the kit is ready. I am probably going to give priority to anyone willing to send their cylinder. I'm hoping that my large order shocks the Honda Parts System into shipping over more parts from Thailand.
Guys, I'm trying as hard as I can to make this 170 bore kit work for everyone that wants one.

As someone who's worked in the service department of a dealership, don't put much faith in bike warranties. There's a lot of fine print. Unless your bike is 100% bone stock, don't expect any problems to get covered. Even if a mod is totally unrelated to what failed, dealers can still just claim that "aftermarket accessories are not covered" and tell you to FO.

Don't hold any hope that Honda cares anything about who needs what, and how fast. In the industry, it wildly known they march to their own drum, and wouldn't consider jumping through hoops for dealers. Great products. Big business tactics.

This is true but you gotta know your dealer also, like my mustang gt had so many mods and the blower placement pushed a hose to rub a hole in the A/C line and they still did the warranty. I know some dealer would have told me to FO but with the grom I knew I would void the warranty so fast that i dont even really care
