Hey all! I'm sitting on some money right now and trying to decide between the Grom and Ruckus. I'll be hanging around here checking things out and getting a feel for how everyone likes the bike.

GROM ! As long as you can find one. Depends what you want. One is a scooter, one is a mini bike with a clutch.

I have both .. the grom is more fun .. but the ruckus has some cool mods.. but my issue is that you gotta put $2-3K into your ruckus to make it go 55mph and my grom does it out of the box for $3500

This is what I was thinking as well.

and also there is reliability... having a gy6 engine is not really reliable .. I cant see making it 3-4K miles without problems

Had a ruckus, bought it new. Was dangerous to ride on most roads in jax. Have a grom now and love it. I have ridden it on the highway even a couple of time no problem.
It is your choice but I recommend the grom hands down.:thumbup:

Hey BUGS, what part of town are you in? Maybe I can swing by and check yours out. I have yet to really get up close with the bike. Just look of course, I wouldn't ask to ride it.

I was in the same boat. For the small price difference...the grom just makes more sense.

I am witness to his riding on interstate 95 northbound near St. Augustine-I was drafting off him @ 68mph! Go with the Grom....
