Monkey/grom interchangeable parts

So i checked today what parts from the new monkey could be used in the grom and i found those so far:
- clutch cover. If you want the kitaco cover only for the sight glass, the monkey cover has it and can be installed in the grom engine.
- front suspension protectors. If you dont want to use the front fender in your grom but want something to cover the front suspension from being knick by little stones or so, the monkey fork protectors fit bolt on.
-black front suspension. If you want to change the gold colour of your front fork, but dont want to wrap it, paint it or send it to anodize, the front suspension legs in the monkey come already black anodized.
-rear sets. If you want to have Rear sets without passenger pegs and dont want to compromise confort oem position the monkey pegs can be fittet. Also they come in black colour.

I'll be checking next days what other monkey parts could be installed in the grom to have more custom options.

This is great info man. Very nice
Nice finds! Those fork protectors would look choice on my Grom. But giving up the front fender is a bit hairy on the street.

The fork protectors are available also in carbon fiber made by tyga...

Not seeing any black forks, just red or yellow as an option on the monkey?

Also curious if these rearsets hold up better to breaking than the groms

Must be a euro color? I'm only seeing information on the yellow and red...? https://powersports.honda.com/2019/monkey.aspx
I've also already ordered and received a cylinder hoping it was raw aluminum, but it's just painted silver.
yes, black is euro color. for usa 2019 monkey came in red and yellow. for 2020 it will be red and blue.

I'm not so sure about the forks now - I have a '14 Grom and a '19 monkey and was about to buy the black tubes but the tubes on the monkey are slightly shorter (or longer, can't remember) by like half an inch, and also I measured the space between clamps on the tree and there was also a difference of about a quarter inch one way. Maybe this matters or maybe it doesn't? - but with the tapered forks I would think it did? Can anyone confirm that the black euro tubes would work for an OG US grom, and explain the difference in measurements?

Thanks

Thanks, man! :) You always offer everyone here such useful information.

So far I have Monkey rear sets, a Monkey front fender, Monkey fork guards.

I recently got a Monkey gas tank so I'll let you know whether or not the tank will fit on a Grom. The Monkey tank is so I can get rid of ALL of that STUPID wannabee "sportbike" plastic and make my Grom into a retro naked bike. :)

I'm wondering if it has to do with you having a '14 grom. I'm betting the monkey fork tubes are only comparable with the 17+ year model groms. I don't know this to be fact, just spitballing.

I thought that too but the fork tube part number is identical for a 2014 through a 2019.- (51410-K26-901)

did you mount the Monkey front fender with OEM locations, or did you have to modify it? I was thinking about converting my black Grom to a scrambler/enduro look and the Monkey fender seems like a cool idea and then find a way to raise it off the tire a bit. Cool that you got it done!
Are the seats interchangeable? I’d like to be able to ride a passenger on the Monkey. What are your thoughts?
