Some of you guys have incredible mileage on your Groms all ready. Just wondering what kind of averages are out there. I've had mine for 42 days, and have a whopping 4.4 miles on it. Averaging just over .10 miles/day. Wish it was more.

I use my Grom like I used my RX-7, Tundra truck or Hayabusa motorcycle. Same mileage, same gym, Costco store, shopping, etc. The only difference is the $4.10 per fill up every 9 days.

If it was my truck it would be $40-$60 every 4-5 days, the Hayabusa $9-10 every week, RX-7 $35 every week.

Just ride it like you stole it and you'll be fine.

Generally it is better to ride any bike long enough to get the engine and oil up to temperature. That typically takes 10 min. of riding which doesn't include the 1-2 min. of warm up before setting out. The minimum you should probably ride to keep the battery charged and seals lubricated is about 10 min. per month. I make it a point to ride 10 min. whenever I take a bike out. City vs. highway doesn't matter much since you can ride in lower gears in the city which keeps the rpms up and that will get you the heat you need. Heat helps burn off moisture in the oil and burns moisture out of the exhaust system which helps prevent corrosion to. It also helps keep your spark plug from fouling. I have 1929 miles on my Grom. I just finished riding it.

I have about 160 miles on mine since I got it in the middle of february. I just finally got my license today and it also is finally starting to warm up enough for me to ride to work every sunny day of the week. This is about 22 miles round trip. By the way.. I filled mine up (1 gallon) with 70 miles on the odometer. I now have 158 on the odometer and my fuel gauge is reading half a tank. That is closing in on 90 miles so far with plenty of gas to go!

I agree this wicked winter is keeping everyone's mileage low. 5000+ miles since October is awesome!

Picked mine up Sept. 30, 2013 and Odometer reads 1420 today. Got Bike week in Daytona starting this weekend so should see that increase some over the next 10 days. My Grom is for recreation only-not used for commuting for work at all.

I ride my Grom 50 miles total round trip to and from work pretty much everyday. Got around 6500 miles on it already commuting and going on long rides on my days off. I have a 14 tooth front sprocket and I'm wondering if the odometer is off since changing the sprocket affects the speedometer.
6500 is incredible. I think HI is the perfect place for this bike. My best vacation was in HI.

I rode mine home on August 29. The odometer reads 424 miles. Due to the harsh weather conditions here in western Pennsylvania, I calculate that "Mighty Mite" has been ridden just slightly more than 2.2 miles per day on average. We are anxiously awaiting riding season to arrive.
