You have some nice equipment!

Seriously nice stuff. I'm impressed. Lot of coin dumped into that equip
Thank you, I don't actually own the equipment however. I am just the machine shop manager, so weekdays my mills are producing aerospace parts, and after hours/weekends, while other production is kept running, idle equipment is available for fun projects like this and some side work.
Nice work ... Are you selling the stuff you make?

Bikes dont handle worth shit when stretched, only good for straight lines. You gonna build some rearsets? Or at least relocator brackets? I really need to source some stateside (relocator brackets)

hadn't really thought about it, do you have a picture of what you mean?

Murder, how much slack forward and backward do you have on the extension in the swing arm? I figure, if you set the chain slack to where it needs to be and the chain is broken in, you might be able to remove a link and slide the bracket forward again and remove another link to reset the chain slack.

this is the relocator bracket, its like 130 or 140 but i think like 50+ to ship from japan, really depends on the japan to usd conversion

What I'm getting at is I'm surprised how no one comments on how much better the burnouts are with an extended swing arm!?
I touched base on that a couple months ago. Enjoy.

guess your not interested in making relocator brackets huh...
Got a few minutes to play around at work today and drew a quick model of how I see the lowering link working. I plan to tool path it this evening and run a prototype tomorrow or Saturday. I already see something in it I might want to change but I think it will be easier to throw one on the bike and then see what change I want to make.

why not make a whole swingarm since you got all that equipment
well..... because it looks really hard.... just to be honest haha that was my first thought and I looked at pictures of the ones companies have for sale and I said hell no! too much material and detail to make it really worth while.
that's cool at least your honest about it
Yeah but we need a US company to produce a swing-arm. Cal-Fab where are you when we need you. LOL
The problem is this, and I'm sure M&S would agree.... Most people have no idea what costs are involved in manufacturing. Everyone would want an awesome USA made swingarm, and once for sale, nobody would want to pay the $700 price tag. Everyone using a 1/2 price imported pile of junk for a baseline would want to know why you're crazy, and how you could possibly justify those costs....
