13t front sprocket
What is top speed with a 13t? 65 at 9500 rpm?

Op: right now you're best mod is MILES these bikes loosen up a lot over the first 1500 miles or so, then look into intake pipes, there is a very inexpensive setup explained in my build thread, the filter can be found on eBay for 7-8$ and the exhaust is your choice.. Some better than others but they all are better than stock

He also asked about making it "go faster" and lowering the gearing won't do that nor will it give you more power, however a good intake and exhaust will.. Also again, mileage plays a big role, my bike new would struggle to do low 60s in a tuck, after 1500 miles or so I could hit 70

Thanks for all responses. Looking more into exhaust/air filter recommendations.... Which ones have better performance than others? Will look into sprocket change once I gain a little more HP. (I know sprocket would be the cheapest to go faster)I will most likely keep it stock for the first 1K miles.

Yoshimura and tyga seem to be quality systems. I would go with the MNNTHBX exhaust personally.

Chimera and btx are the two intakes I know of, or just putting a K&N filter on the TB.

You can also do mods to the stock airbox to help, there are videos on youtube on how to do it.

Did the air box mod and just bought a two brothers exhaust, we'll see it that hits 55mph fast enough for me. I live on Maui so max speed is 55mph on the fastest road.

(I never got my motor cycle license yet so I have to stay with in speed limits… Lol)

As Stroked GE outlined in his build thread with the radiator hose mod to the airbox, I know this is the best bang for buck mod you can do. Yes, other intake mods will get you more speed also, but they will cost more $$$ than the $12.00 I spent to do this mod. You will be pleasantly surprised with the 3-5 mph gains. This is my only performance mod and I can get 70 mph from my Grom regularly with stock exhaust. As he stated, putting some miles on it will help also as mine seemed to loosen up alot after 1000 miles. I like the stock 15 tooth for overall riding as the speedo is still spot on. I recommend spending money on an o-ring chain to get longer life from stock sprockets as my standard stock chain was noticeably worn after 1200 miles and needed numerous adjustments before I replaced it.
