So as most of you know already, I installed the Kitaco 164 piston and cylinder along with Daniel Crower cam, modiferceret t/b 26.5mm, pcx injector, and Api tech EFI advance. The first couple of rides were fine as I could adjust the fuel do to bogging or bucking to either lean it out a little or fatten it up. Today was my first long test ride. About 20 miles one way then back. I rode this morning to work and about half way there with an outside temp of near 70 the bike started to bog just cruising. If I hit the throttle to try to clean it out it would just go slower. After I came to a stop and started again it only did this 2 more times the rest of the way to work. So before I left to come home I richened it up quite a bit on all settings and turned the ignition back to stock. After 5 min this started again. I pulled over almost 5 times trying to get the settings right but nothing seemed to help. I finally noticed some spark knock when it would start happening. So i just limped it home easily as not to damage anything. When I got home I laser temped the head and it was at 305F. I assume this is a timing/heat issue and I know that no matter how much fuel I added or took away it didnt seam to help. Any idea on what i could do to fix this?? The cam timing is dead on and tuner is set at stock timing.
Thanks in Advance,
Daniel

Can someone please check your cylinder head temp after a good distance ride 10 miles or so. I would like to compare to see if mine is just way too hot.

Hard to believe stock injectors dump enough fuel for that displacement...
Its worth a try, only takes a minute to swap. I'm also going to take the api tech off and install the EJK first just to see if this might help.

swapped injectors and it seems to be running out of fuel. Going to change tuners and see what it does.

Did you ground out the o2 sensor? Sounds like the computer is screwing you over

I thought that too but the apitech doesn't require that to be done.. Many people are running it without issue

maybe the injector is sticking?

Idk, just heard numerous reports of bikes running perfectly fine for the first 5-10 miles then bam, runs like shit. Do you have a wideband? Or just tuning by feel?

Injector wouldn't be sticking. Especially on a new injector
