I've been out of street riding scene for the past couple of years. I've had a deposit on the Grom since it was first announced and hoping I'll get the call next week it's in. I find myself already looking at other bikes as well. I have a feeling I'll own two bikes before the end of the year (Grom + naked street bike). Anyone else feeling like this?

The Grom was a third bike for me, but I can totally see how the Grom is a gateway bike. The problem I foresee is people having tons of fun on the Grom and thinking they will jump up to a larger bike and have even more fun. I think that will cause much disappointment, because as the owner of a liter bike, I can tell you that it is no where near as fun as the Grom. Proceed through the gateway with caution.

I feel like at some point I want something in addition to the Grom like a CB500F or something like that. Something I can take on a long trip/Interstate. Grom is my first bike and after about 300 miles I'm getting well acquainted with it, and I LOVE it.

But yes I feel like next year or something I will want something in addition to. And yes at some point I will have to get a rocket just because of my intrigue with them. It would be a CBR600RR just to get it out of my system. If I don't like it then sell it after a couple months... but I have to try one sometime.

Think I mentioned this EARLY in this Form days...
Said something like... HONDA is a like a Drug Dealer, they want you to try it so you can GET Hooked (on motorcycles)

That is one of reason why I'm hesitant on a GETting a Grom.

I don't understand the reason why KTM hasn't brought the smaller DUKE bikes to the US. Those bikes are awesome. Maybe after seeing the success Honda is having with the Grom, KTM will rethink it. The Duke 125, 200 or 390 would be a nice addition to the Grom.

I am currently waiting for the 390 Duke to hit stateside. Thats where my little heart is set on going. As a back up would be CB500F.
