Is it strong enough??

Anyone think I could make a 12 bar and use the same bolt holes that the original tag bracket used? Will it be strong enough for me to stand on etc, I weigh about 185 and will be using it as a foot peg for stunting etc

I'm definitely interested in this as well. I was thinking about using the rear rack as one.

My only concern is that my weight will cause the rear subframe (if you wanna call it that) to crack or something :/

Without doing all the stress calculations my first instinct would be NO - or if it does - it wont last long!

The rack is only designed for max 10KG -22lbs

The KLX250S - also made in Thailand had issues with rear frame cracking when people fitted extra fuel can above rear fender - and that was probaly also only 20 lbs.

I think the Honda is a little stronger back there than the KLX - but I doubt it would be strong enough.

I made a 12 bar to fit the stock bolt locations from the rear fender and it's working well for me. If you slam back on anything with thin metal like the subframe has you will have the potential to bend or crack it Land vehicle Vehicle Motorcycle Car Supermoto
