Had to attend a work event two hours from home today, so I left early this morning to try to avoid rush hour traffic. Took Airline Hwy/US61 from Metairie, LA to Baton Rouge, which is about an 80 mile trip to where the meeting was held. It was a great morning to ride, low 70s and clear, no traffic and smooth blacktop. Had quite a few looks at stop lights from people admiring the Grom. Even had someone honk and wave at me. Thought everyone was loving the little guy. It did 60 mph without much issue, and handled stoplights and moderate morning traffic like a champ. I know others are complaining that it won't do what they want in traffic, but honestly I had no big issues. I'm a new, fairly cautious driver who isn't expecting to race away from everyone at lights, so maybe I'm just not trying too hard and that's why I'm happy with the performance.
So why am I a jackass? Realized when I got to the office for the meeting that the reason some of those people were waving and looking at me was because my Kriega R25 was hanging wide open. Fortunately, nothing was missing. But I still felt like an idiot.

On the plus side, it was a great ride. Except my butt hurts. That seat is tough after two hours!

Nice! Airline from Metry to Br seems like an eternity lol
Have you done it on the Grom? Seriously, I'm still saddle sore two hours after I got home. I went to Gonzalez two weekends ago, and that extra few miles through traffic to BR was rough. I'm thinking the Grom has limited possibilities for long rides. I tap out after about 90 minutes I'm afraid.

You've rode way more highway than I have. I try to keep it local. I met up with four rucks on sunday and are meeting pretty much every weekend to ride if you are free. We have been meeting at the lakefront around 8-9pm.
