Interested in this also. I normally get to about 80 miles then I fill up and its always around .72 gallons when I fill back up. It looks like there is plenty in the tank still, but just get worried that I will run out. Do you guys ride till the indicator starts to blink?
I get 110 mpg, but I always get fuel before it gets too low. You know the fuel pump is inside the gas tank and if allowed to run dry, it can be damaged. Plus I don't want to run out of gas ever. But to answer the question, with a 1.45 gal capacity, I could get 159.9 miles in theory. With a full tank, you could always safely go 100 miles no matter how hard or fast you ride.
In commuting to work at 45 mph I get about 115 mpg. I usually fill up when I get to this point. I rode long distance this weekend on 55mph roads and I was basically full throttle the entire time and I got about 95 miles to the gallon before filling up.
I wanted to know how far I can go to empty. Tried one time and did 187 miles. From the recommended full level (as per manual) until it ran out. It won't use 1.4 gallons exactly. There is always a tiny bit of fuel left in there. My record mpg is 144.
Riding in a constant headwind at full throttle dropped me to around 70 miles for .9 gallons. For commuting at higher speeds, I've been seeing around 70-80 from the full bar on the fuel gauge down to 1 bar. As I said, though, that's been a lot of long stints at full throttle. Around town and just playing, it goes up from that. I don't think I've seen over 100 miles on a trip yet, but my wife got close (she's lighter and uses less throttle, 90 miles with 2 bars left on the gauge, however accurate that thing may be).
I'm pretty sure my fuel gauge just goes from all bars down to three bars, and I don't necessarily trust the gauge to be accurate. Long story short, on average we are typically putting around one gallon in the tank, and according to the specifications for the Grom, the total capacity is 1.45 gallons. That means there's still 1/3 of your fuel left to go despite what the meter says.
93-97mpg and my tank is on the last BAR indicator. I've been riding this Grom WOT since the day I picked it up that is why the oil filter screen looks like this on my first oil change at around 705 miles

I weigh 142 lbs and ride to work an average of 40-45 mph which is low rpms in 4th gear. That is how I consistently get 115 mpg. If it wasn't for this one gnarly big hill I have to climb by my house everyday pinned in 3rd gear, I would probably get 120-125 mpgs.
A lot of lightweight riders on here! I'm ~190lbs in riding gear. I just did my first fill up @ 91 miles on the trip, took .874 gallons to fill, so 104mpg, theoretical 150 miles per tank.
you can see my average in my sig line. my best was 113mpg, but most of the time I'm in the city WOT. I'm sure that if I rode more conservatively it would be better.
