The prices for the stock muffler and header pipe: 247.18 (muffler) + $151.40 (pipe) = $398.58!!!! :shocked: That's retail.
Actual price according to the site I used is still: 187.61 + 115.75 = $303.36.

Makes the aftermarket stuff look like a bargain, no?

That is absurd. Mine stock muffler is currently being used as a paperweight.

Mine is in a box in the garage. I'm giving it until next year when a lot more Groms hit the market and people start dinging up their pipes. I just took a look at the site because I need a few other parts. Totally blown away by the prices. I wish they would have given me the option to let them keep the stock exhaust and take it off the purchase price.

Good idea saving it. And I wish the dealer would have gave me that option too lol.

I had no clue. I've never done any mods on a vehicle and compared the aftermarket parts price to OEM. The full Tyga carbon system is $360 plus shipping and tariffs, and I've seen Yoshimura systems going for $350-400. It just sort of blew me away when I saw how little difference there was.

Oem parts are always expensive and for the head pipe you have to remember it has a catalytic converter in it

I will say though, oem prices have gone up since August, cylinder heads used to be 78$ at the dealer or 55$ +20$ shipped online, now they're 95$ at the dealer and 75$ +20$ shipped online
