Hey, everyone, I'm mike and I'm a grom addict. I've been lurking around this forum long before I finally became a member and way before I got my grom. I can't even remember how I heard about the grom at this point, but shortly after I did, I went down to one of my local dealers and discovered that an unclaimed grom would be in the store in 4 short weeks. I immediately put down a deposit and after a months wait I picked it up on 2-18-14, paying cash, an out the door price of $3733.45 tax included.

Now, I've seen that a majority of grom mods have been leaning toward stretching, lowering, racing, but, I've decided to make my grom trail ready. I plan on terrorizing the streets, ripping up some light trails, hitting hidden fishing spots, mudding, riding in and out of camping spots that are inaccessible to vehicles and anything else I can think of. I'd start a build thread, however, I'm afraid I've completed most of my project pre-forum. At this point I've Removed the air box, added a K&N filter and crank case breather filter, carbon fiber front fender, kenda dual sport tires, Thai headlight, flush mount front turn lights, new mirrors, pro taper bars, pro grip dual sport grips, cnc adjustable levers, Tyga handlebar clamp, hand guards, Two Brothers full exhaust, rear fender eliminator and rear utility rack. I've also painted a few of the silver parts black. Vehicle Automotive tire Motor vehicle Motorcycle Tire

I've only put about 100 miles on the tires and they were 30 degree temp, numb finger tip, sand on the street, uncomfortable miles. Once the temps warm up and I can actually do some normal riding I'll let you know, but I haven't been disappointed yet.

I am still new to riding so I don't know how far I can push the limit on these tires. How far can someone lean on this bike on dry pavement without the tires slipping out from under you?
