Greetings. I bought an Ohlins fork kit. Followed instructions on kit itself and You tube videos that used a propane torch to heat black fork end to 225 degrees to unthread the end clockwise. Can't get it to budge. Any ideas?

Heat and force. Remembering they are as said left hand threads. I had a similar problem when doing mine one fork required so much force I was afraid I was going to damage it, the other came off much easier. The first required a firm grip in the vice with the tool a lot of heat, I heard a bit of popping as the corrosion was breaking off and a larger lever then I was expected. Good luck with it.

"Give me a lever long enough, and I can move the world"

- Me, in between swearing out my forks enough that my neighbor walked by asking if everything was ok.

In al seriousness, unthreading those took me a lot longer than I thought it would, ended up using a 3 ft. breaker bar to get them moving. Hope you were able to get them off!
