So I walk out to the parking lot Monday morning at my apartment to find my bike missing. Apparently, someone wanted my parking spot and had picked up and moved my bike over into the parking spot that had my car. Obviously I found this alarming so I've decided to opt for an alarm system to prevent drunk college students from attempting this again. I've narrowed it down to a few option but your opinions are always appreciated. I really only need tilt and shock sensing and would like a 2 way system so I'm alerted when someone is jacking with my stuff. These are the three I've narrowed it down to:

[h=1]Gorilla 9100 Motorcycle Alarm with 2-Way Paging System [/h][h=1]Scorpio SR-i900 RFID/Two-Way[/h][h=1]Scorpio SR-I800S RFID [/h]
Thanks for your help!

Also consider a chain, at least 15mm thick, and a disk lock. Sure a pro could take your bike, but the more security features you add will deter 99% of the would be thieves, vandals.
I'm not worried about theft as much as deterring drunk college bros. Chains wouldn't help as I have nothing to chain it to. A disk lock with a tilt/shock would work though.

I was looking at these...
Buddy of mine has a xena on his MV so considering that too.

i will be doing a installtion video for the new scorpio ride this weekend. i'm gettting it in the mail today!

alarms will only deter some people, i want something so that once it is stolen i will be able to find it!

i have found with past alarms that the range of extended 2way RF systems were always misrepresented! celluar based alarms aren't new, but the ride seems to be pretty affordable and easy to install!

I'd love to get the ride system but $400+ with a $130 a year subscription isn't worth it to me on this bike. if I had something that msrp'd at $10000+, sure, but not the Grom. The bike will be stored in a parking garage starting Monday so thinking the xena is all I'll really need. if someone steals the bike with a truck, there will be video evidence.

Well keep in mind if the only thing u care about is finding your stolen grom, all you need is the ride core for $220 plus yearly fee.

You don't need to have the security remote/ alarm if u get a Sena disc lock.

I went with it bc I once was at movie, and someone moved my grom enough so that the disc moved 180! If I had the two alert, I would have known right away!

Why do they all have to be so annoying when you arm them.
In order to keep the package small they have to go with a small speaker diaphragm for the alarm. In order to get 120db out of a small horn they go to a high frequency pitch. When the alarm chirps it has to be loud because a diaphragm design for 120db at say 500hz will not operate below a certain db level, say 100db.

Post a link to the video of your install when it's done, curious to see how easy Scorpio's systems are. I know they say it's simple, but any half decent marketing expert would tell you that.
