Good evening (or Morning)!
New rider checking in. I've been a long time lurker and since I'll be picking up my Msx on Saturday I thought I should introduce myself.
I'm a rider from (not so) sunny England. I've never seen an MSX on the road but fell in love when I saw it in a show room. I had to have one!
I love how active this forum is and discovering the huge amount of aftermarket kit has got me excited.

Here are some dealer shots:

I've never seen an msx/grom with these decals. Do you think the previous owner added them?
Hopefully they'll be easy to take off. I love the plain/understated look of the OEM red. Any tips on how to remove them?

Thanks for the replies all.
A bit of googling suggest the front tyres on the right way?!
Will certainly remove decals. Love your rack! Is it actually useful being that small?

Picked the bike up today and put a 40 mile ride in. What a brilliant little thing!
I had good fun. I love the riding position, the sound and how manoeuvrable it is.
It's plenty fast enough too. I hit 65 mph comfortably.

I've already hit some issues though. Storage. I think I need to fit a pannier/box so store bits and pieces. It's just not convenient always carrying a bag.
On the to do list:
1. Mount rear L plate on the side of the swingarm
2. Fit tail tidy and Rack
3. Remove decals

JackDempsey-I'm near Colchester and the dealership is in Ipswich. We should definitely get a ride going. Weathers getting better now!

FYI for those that thought the front tyre was fitted the wrong way round- I check the rotation arrow and it is rotating correctly as a front tyre. I agree that the tread looks wrong though.

Hi mate I was the previous owner of the bike ;) Glad you're enjoying riding it, I was really sorry to have get rid of it , but I part-exchanged it for their ex-demo cbr500r

Here is how it looked before I traded it in at lings, the graphics kit was a pain in the arse to put on, and I really wish I hadn't of bothered with it, waste of money really

I returned the bike back to stock when trading it in, but left the main yoshi decal on as I was also selling them the yoshi full system, which they put on their demo msx

and here is my new one

And I did question lings when I had the tyres fitted and they pointed out, as you mention, the directional arrow is the correct way. Hope you have as much fun on it as I did :big smile:

ah, no way! Small world.
Decals look much better with the mods. Would have loved half those mods!
I removed the decals- not really my thing and there was some dirt ingress.
Just read through your post history. Sounds like you had fun with it!

Can I ask where you bought your bits from? Enjoy the CBR, very nice bike.

I still have the pegs, mirrors, levers and nose screen. The levers and mirrors were from ebay. The red pegs and screen were from MotoEvolution - Motorcycle parts - LSL parts - Ermax parts - PP Tuning parts, the belly pan was from Honda MSX125 2013- - Tyga Performance.

I wasn't very impressed with the yoshi decal kit from Yoshimura R&D - GROM Graphics Kit - Red , but that was probably more from me being shit at fitting it. It was extremely thick and just wouldn't go into some of the curves well. The yoshi rs-9 full exhaust system was awesome, did you have a go on the lings demo one with it on?

I'm loving the cbr, the stock exhaust was a bit quiet so got a nice titanium scorpion slip-on , which sounds sexy.

Oh and I changed the msx's stock vee rubber tyres to the michelin power pures because the vee rubbers were pretty shit in the wet, and the michelins had received good reviews on here and the improvement was very noticeable.

That is exactly what I want to do!

Have you got any pictures of how you mounted the L plate?
I saw your comment in the other section on how you did it but it's hard to picture.

I was hoping to get a tail tidy from somewhere that was easy and didn't require any work.

Edit: Bought a 12mm Oxford chain and padlock. Also found a nice spot indoors to store the bike.
