About to pick up a new Grom! Question, I am 5'10" 220. I want my son to ride with me if possible. He is 70ish pounds. It possible to ride two up on the Grom around town? Any experiences?

You will have no problems riding two up. I'm 225 5'9, my lady is 5'6 135ish

and we have gone on several long trips(150 miles)

Honestly no loss of speed, it just takes a little more time to get there.
