I am wanting to put on a set of pro taper bars. I don't want to destroy anything factory like the grips. Is there anywhere I can purchase a cheap throttle tube for this bike until I can afford the MNNTHBX G2 one or can I get the grip off without destroying it? Normally on my other bikes I'd just wing it, for some reason I want to be able to make this one stock again... Forgive me if this question is ridiculous...especially beings I am a master certified tech... The exploded diagrams just showed the grip, no tube, unless I missed that.

lol this is not a question for a master certified tech to be asking.

i just did the pro taper swap today, the throttle side will slide right off, the clutch side is glued on, i just used a screwdriver and pried it off and reslapped it on the pro taper, you can buy aftermarket grips too you know.

its been like this for all my other motorcycles, from honda to yamaha to suzuki

Not all motorcycles are that way. A ton of aftermarket cruiser companies for 1" bars build a grip and tube assembly. Something that cannot be taken apart, all one unit. That's why I'm asking since the exploded diagram I have seen did not show a tube. Must just have been the wrong one. I know I can get them off if the tube is separate. I already have a new set of Protaper rockstars to go on. Done it before on my dirtbike. Just want to keep all the stock items intact....I have no idea why. Guess because I have never been the first owner of anything other than a KLX110. Guess I used a poor choice of wording, and the bike wasn't sitting infront of me. Not even going to bother taking the left side off since I'll be tossing the bars in a box of stock stuff. Just killing time while at work...which is mostly reprogramming anymore.
